Horticultural work can involve physical activity, tools, vehicles, machinery, weather, uneven ground and repetitive tasks. Everyone has a role in maintaining a safer workplace.
Where applicable, our teams are expected to comply with both Dubb Horticulture requirements and the health and safety procedures of the client site.
Worker Induction
Site expectations, emergency procedures, hazards, PPE, work instructions and reporting procedures.
Personal Protective Equipment
Workers are expected to use task-appropriate PPE correctly where required by the role or site.
Hazard Awareness
Awareness of vehicles, machinery, tools, uneven surfaces, manual handling, weather and other site hazards.
Incident Reporting
Injuries, near misses, unsafe conditions, equipment issues and workplace incidents should be reported promptly.
Responsible Working
Follow reasonable instructions, use equipment correctly, respect worksite rules and avoid unsafe behaviour.
Continuous Improvement
We aim to improve through communication, site observations, worker feedback, supervision and client cooperation.
